Stuff!!!
Ok, so I opted for cleaning the house rather than the movie. I know, not the fun option but since the day started with me sleeping in and then my hubby screaming at the kids about how messy the house was, I felt guilted into staying home and cleaning up. sighYou know what I really hate though...my house is so full of clutter and clutter build up, I can't just decide to clean one room because as soon as I do that, I find that there are so many other area's that need to be worked on and I'm so ADD I can't just focus on one thing long enough to feel as if I've accomplished anything. On the plus side, church tonight was really good. It had a really calming effect on me. It was a good way to end the day. Tomorrow I'm going to begin in earnest to un-mathom my house. Wish me luck!

Have you ever seen those shows on TLC about the home makeovers? Wouldn't that be wonderful? They take everything out of your house and redo it, then put everything back, and before they do that, you can de-clutter and get rid of stuff. My mom always said the only way her and my dad keep the clutter to a minimum is to move! Everytime we move, we get rid of stuff. My parents are frustrated right now, cause this is the longest they've been in a house. Hee-hee .They are such pack-rats!
I know!! I'm such a pack rat too. Especcially when it comes to memorabelia. I have so many "precious" things that I don't want to part with but I don't know what to do with either. I need to start a scrapbook like B has. Something simple, not elaborate like my last scrapbook adventure. LOL! Just something that I can keep all my cards and letters and things in that wonderful folks like you send to me. Actually, part of the reason we're trying to do this now is we have to think about the very real possibility that we will have to sell our house. Either because we can't afford to live her anymore or because I have a feeling if my huy does get a job any time soon it will be somewhere other than here. He just applied for two in Phoenix. So either way, I have a feeling we'll be moving within the year. ::sigh::
it becomes too easy to get attached to things it seems (at least it does with me) I always think about: what if i had a house fire? what would i try to save first? then i realize that in all reality, probably not much would cross my mind to risk life or limb for.the way i have learned to *downsize* is to organize - and if i cant find a place for it no matter how bad i try, i probably dont need it. I also have gotten into the hobbit (habit) of doing a total clean out twice a year. anything (clothes especially) that hasnt been worn in a year goes to the salvation army - we live in a *TINY* house - no room for any extras. (which is great cause i take after both sides of my family - packrat extreme!)
